First edition 8vo in fours, pp. xvi (including inserted dedication leaf), 320, with engraved frontispiece and 25 woodcut plates, including the uncalled-for Key to Macdonough's Victory at p.144. Contemporary sheep, rebacked and recornered with modern calf. Frontispiece laid on old endpaper, rather browned throughout as usual. Ownership inscription of 1817 on title.
