1826-46: Annual compilations of the laws of Ceylon

[Ceylon] Regulations of the Government of Ceylon passed in the year 1826 [to 1846]. Colombo printed at the Government Press, by Nicholas Bergman, [1826-46]
First edition Folio, pp.[56], 37, [18], 39, 30-31, [8], 16, [8], 19, [218], 4, 3, [9], 5, [7], 11, [1], 4, 4, [20], 7, [7], 13, [167], 14, [76], 11, [1], 6, [178]. A very good copy from the House of Lords Library, bound in contemporary half morocco. Spine partially detached.

Following the pattern established for the three presidencies of British India, this annual compilation of regulations was first printed in Ceylon in 1826. Despite the wording of the title-page this collection contains no regulations passed in 1847, only "Estimate of the probable expenses for the undermentioned services, forming a charge on the Treasury of Ceylon, for the year 1847". Separate title-pages were issued for each of the years 1827-30, but from 1831 onwards no separate title-page was printed.
